A CONTEMPORARY POTTER MAKING TRADITIONAL POTS
I am incredibly fortunate and grateful to be able to work in this endlessly fascinating and inspirational field of traditional ceramic art.
Read all about it in “A Potter Considers the Traditional Decorative Arts,” published in the 2018 Edition of Ceramics in America, edited by Robert Hunter. Chipstone Press.
Hear all about it in an interview with host Ben Carter on the podcast Tales of a Red Clay Rambler.
A potter’s journey into this quintessential traditional craft expression.
My pottery has been included since 2007 in the annually issued National Directory of Traditional Crafts. I was inducted into the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) Keepers of the Tradition archive in 2009, and I have been included into the MCC Traditional Art Fellowship program in 2021. My work has been featured in several books, magazines and articles. You can also check out my web journal “This Day In Pottery History,” a collection of super short stories I’ve written while traveling along the back roads and byways of pottery history.
