A request.

My latest post, of a large delftware charger with the inscription "Ubi Caritas" (go back and check it out if you haven't seen it), has been denied the ability to be boosted by FaceBook and Instagram. First time this has happened to me.

Excavating the reason why, I find I need to authenticate who I am by giving my cell phone #, which can then be accessed by 3rd party vendors, because this is considered a political advocacy post.

It's just a plate I made with some pretty painted flowers on it. It isn't even for sale. "Ubi Caritas" means "Charity is All," and originated as the title of an early Christian hymn. In the text associated with the image, however, I did include the comment "Back Lives Matter."

Boom, there it is. To express concern for other people, I need to double authenticate all my sites on every device I use every time I access them, while allowing 3rd party vendors to harass my cell phone day and night.

This wasn't an issue when I boosted images of pretty pots with comments relating to how appallingly the Pandemic has been mismanaged by the current administration (go back and check them out).

Well, I believe Black Lives Matter. And I believe the opposite of Black Lives Matter isn't Blue Lives Matter, or All Lives Matter, but rather Black Lives Don't Matter. That is the literal opposite of Black Lives Matter. Sorry, but no. I guess I can't boost the picture of this pretty plate then.

SO, if you feel the motivation, if you aren't offended by the idea that people with dark skin shouldn't be shot on sight by pretty much anybody, could you please share and pass along this image of a pretty plate I made?
